Prenatal Reiki for Mama
Many changes occur while carrying life and a calm soothing experience with Reiki can provide a gentle support system. This session will begin with a conversational check-in and opportunity to address the salient needs of mama. We will use props, like bolsters and blankets, so that you land in a comfortable resting position. You have the choice of pulling an oracle card to help set an intention for the session. We will welcome a grounding technique before dropping into the stillness of the loving Reiki energy. I will check-in periodically with you to ensure there is support for the parts of your body asking for attention.

Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s and it is a subtle form of energy work. The term is derived from from the Japanese words rei, meaning “universal,” and ki, which refers to the vital life force energy that flows through all living things. This practice is not associated with any religion or religious practices. The practitioner hovers or places their hands over various parts of the receiver’s body which can promote deep ease, balance to the physical body, and a feeling of support.
When preparing for your session, wear comfortable and loose-fitting clothing. You will most likely be lying down on a massage table, and we will go over what places in the body that are asking to be nurtured and what places would prefer not to be touched. It is normal to feel warmth, vibration, or perhaps nothing at all. However, we welcome all experiences.
